PACT together with North Wales Police have recently helped Wood Memorial CP School in Saltney with part-funding to
purchase 30 smart new tracksuits bearing the school’s logo, which the children recently wore to compete in the Flintshire Schools Indoor Athletics Competition at Deeside College.
The money was raised by the children through a sponsored ‘Iron Pupil’ event together with a donation from the Police and Community Trust (PACT).
The tracksuits, which will also be used for other future sporting events that the pupils take part in, have helped them take great pride in competing for their School.
Lady Janet Jones, trustee of PACT, visited the school to meet the children and hear from them about how the tracksuits are being used.
Lady Janet commented: “It is great to see so many young people take pride in their appearance and represent the school with such enthusiasm. It was particularly good to hear from them about the trophies that they won at the Indoor Athletics Competition.”
