Lloyd FitzHugh OBE., OStJ.,JP, DL

At the end of 2024 we were saddened to hear of the passing of one our long-standing trustees – Lloyd FitzHugh – following a short illness.

Lloyd joined the PACT board of trustees in 2010 and throughout his time with us was constantly involved in our on-going work supporting community projects, local policing teams and our Justice in a Day education programme, which was of particular interest to him in his role as a Justice of the Peace.

Lloyd served as High Sheriff of Clwyd in 2011/12 working with Crimebeat to support young people’s projects across Clwyd, taking the opportunity to visit many of the Crimebeat projects supported during in his year in office and rounding off his year with a gala awards event held at Coleg Cambria in  Wrexham.

In addition to his voluntary work with PACT and Crimebeat, Lloyd also served on the board of DangerPoint, the Royal Welsh Show committee, Community Foundation Wales and many other voluntary groups that have a positive impact in our communities.

Lloyd also served our communities as Vice Lord Lieutenant of Clwyd.

A Service of Thanksgiving to celebrate Lloyd’s life will be held on Saturday 18th January, 3.00pm at St Giles Parish Church Wrexham.
