One of our Trustees, Patricia Hughes DL, attended the official opening of The Thomas Close Play Area which saw over 200 guests and young people gather to celebrate the unveiling of the Play Area.
PACT, together with the High Sheriff’s Crimebeat Fund, has made a number of contributions to support the development of the area since the ideas was first developed almost 10 years ago.
Patricia Hughes was delighted to have been invited to represent PACT at the opening and heard first-hand from “Patch ” Glover and Nigel Black, Chair of the Thomas Close Play Asociation about the work that local residents had done to re-generate the park for the benefit of the whole community.
The park has recieved Royal approval by becoming one of 200 Field’s in Trust across the country during this Jubilee year.
